About LISBridge

Built to Eliminate Lab Transcription Errors

Manual result entry consumes hours per day in labs that still do it. Research on transcription error rates consistently points to roughly 1 error per 300 keystrokes. LISBridge was built to make both problems disappear permanently.

The Problem We Solve

In most clinical labs worldwide, a technician looks at the analyzer screen and types the result number into the HIS by hand. It sounds archaic — it is. This process takes 2–3 hours per day in a busy 10-instrument lab. Research consistently shows that manual transcription introduces errors at a rate of 1 in every 300 keystrokes. In a lab processing 500 results daily, that's potentially 1–2 wrong values every single day.

The technology to fix this has existed for decades — RS-232 serial ports, ASTM E1394, HL7. The missing piece was middleware that actually works: that handles every instrument correctly, that runs offline when the internet goes down, that a lab manager can set up in 30 minutes without calling IT.

That is what LISBridge is. A native desktop app that connects your analyzers to your HIS automatically, validates every result, and gives you a real-time monitoring dashboard so you can see exactly what is happening at all times.

How We Build

🔬

Shaped by what labs actually need

Every feature in LISBridge was requested by lab managers, LIMS administrators, or hospital IT teams. We build what labs actually use — not what looks good in a demo.

🛡️

Local-first, always

Patient data never leaves your hospital. LISBridge runs entirely on your hardware. No cloud upload, no external servers, no HIPAA risk. Results flow from instrument to HIS — internally.

⚡

Reliability above all

A lab instrument going down is never our fault. Our software runs continuously, reconnects automatically, and updates silently. Zero downtime is the only acceptable target.

🌍

Built for every lab, everywhere

LISBridge is deployed in labs across South Asia, South East Asia, North America, and Europe — including under-resourced facilities where RS-232 instruments are critical infrastructure. We price accordingly.

The Technology

LISBridge is a native cross-platform desktop application built with Tauri (Rust backend) and React. The instrument parsers run as a WebAssembly module — pulled from CDN every 15 minutes — so new instrument support and protocol fixes deploy silently without any action required from the lab.

Licensing is device-based and encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM. Once activated, LISBridge runs fully offline — instruments keep sending data and results keep flowing to the HIS even if the internet goes down for days.

The web platform (Next.js + PostgreSQL) handles subscriptions, license management, and the MLM/reseller program. The desktop app talks to the web platform for license validation — and that is the only external connection it ever makes.

On HIPAA and Patient Data

LISBridge is a local-first application. Patient data — result values, patient identifiers, sample IDs — flows from the instrument to LISBridge to your HIS entirely within your hospital's network. No patient data is ever transmitted to LISBridge servers, stored in the cloud, or accessible to us. This architecture eliminates the primary HIPAA risk surface associated with cloud-connected middleware. For full details, see our Privacy Policy and Data Security pages.
